Acorn Montessori School is an independent Montessori School for children ages 15 months through age 12. We are a verified Montessori School through the American Montessori Society (AMS), which means we meet the 5 critical components of a Montessori education to be considered a high fidelity Montessori School. The school is also a member of the NJMAC (New Jersey Montessori Administrators Council) and is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families.

Acorn has assembled a dedicated Montessori faculty balanced by academic, art, music, foreign language, yoga/mindfulness, and education specialists and professionals. Each classroom is led by a Montessori-certified teacher and supported by assistant teachers.

Why do so many families choose Montessori?

Lessons are designed and given to each child when they are most ready to learn.

Social, emotional, and physical development is emphasized along with academic skills.

Freedom to move and choose activities fosters independence and self-confidence.
